welcome to my small tribute to the intro style of excell/ikari! the intro infront of ikari's "last ninja ii" crack was the first one which i had running for a long time without even playing the game! the smashing music by laxity was one thing, but also the sprite-underlayed text looked so great! so far to the audio and the lower screenpart... the style of the upper part is inspired by a 711 intro by excell. the water mirror effect is in the scrolltext there, but i think it also looks great with the logo by sextone which suprisingly entered the 3-color-logo competition 2013. (at least with the small waves i added to it. i also changed the colors to an icy style, because the original green one did not fit here.) finally the star sprites were taken from an ikari+talent intro by excell, because the ones from the 711 intro were too small for this big logo... so here are the credits in brief: music: laxity logo: sextone charset, sprites & design: excell code & melting all together: didi thanks to dwangi for the inspiration, which came from his joke in csdb forum that excell would be working on a contribution for the compo, too! well, i hope you like this tribute intro a bit and may it warp you back to the golden times of c64... text restarts...
